Join us for our second annual and let's run for the rescues!

5k route and 1-mile route available

$30 per runner (includes t-shirt) | Dogs run for free
Bandanas and addl. t-shirt available for purchase

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m., rain or shine!

Walk-ups are welcome! Cash and card will be accepted. 

Race starts at 8:30 a.m.

Sign up or order by September 4th for a guaranteed t-shirt.

  • A registered runner may bring multiple dogs. 

  • Additional bandana(s) and t-shirt(s) are available for pre-order purchase if ordered by deadline.

  • *Dogs must be leashed*

  • Please note that this event will not be officially timed. Any participant who wishes to monitor their running time should bring their own timing device.

  • Medical support, if needed, will be available along the route. Water and a snack tent will be available after the race.

Parking available throughout the park.

Registration will be at Ed Phillips Shelter (near The Point).

The route will start and finish in the circle drive near Ed Phillips Shelter. The route will transition to the walking trail and follow toward the campgrounds until transitioning off the waling trail to Campfire Rd and loop near the north boat ramp before returning back along the same path to the start/finish line.

The 1-mile route will have a turnaround at the primitive camping entrance.

This is open to all dogs, regardless of breed and shape!

If you bring a dog, please read these housekeeping notes:

  • Dog friendly dogs only

  • Dog must be on leash at all times

  • Carry Poop Bags at all times

  • Proof of rabies vaccination required at check-in

  • Bring water for you and for your pets at all times

  • Everyone must maintain responsibility for themselves and their pets before, during and after the Run.

  • Dogs must be kept on the lead or leash at all times during the Race and should not be handled in a slip lead, choke chain, head collar, flexi lead, or any collar that restricts breathing.
