Buddy Sponsorship Program
You can’t adopt every animal who pulls on your heartstrings, but you can help make their journey into a new home a little easier by being their buddy.
Pets at the New Nodaway Humane Society stay as long as needed until they find loving families of their own. Your buddy sponsorship goes towards helping fund everyday essentials, like food, beds, exercise and toys.
You can be a buddy to any adoptable pet at NNHS. If you don’t have a particular dog/cat you’d like to sponsor, our team will choose a pet who will benefit the most by your donation. Typically, they are animals who have behavioral considerations or special medical needs that have made their stay at the shelter longer than usual.

Yes! Download and complete the Buddy Card Form (pdf). Then, either send the form along with cash or check to the shelter address below or drop off your payment at the shelter.

Yes! In the notes of your donation, you can specify if you would like to sponsor the partial or full adoption fee for your buddy.

Because our team is very busy providing daily care for the approximately 100 animals who are at the shelter on any given day, they are not able to provide updates-on-demand for sponsored animals.

Yes! Sharing your animal’s story and helping him or her find a home is one of the best things you can do for your sponsored pet. Sharing their profile on social media is a great idea.
